Sam Shikiar

Sam Shikiar has developed a passion for art collecting with a focus on Abstract Expressionism, Pop art, Color Field paintings and other contemporary works. Sam sits on the Guggenheim Museum’s Young Collectors Acquisitions Committee and the Drawing Acquisitions Committee at the Whitney Museum while also supporting the Public Art Fund and the New York Academy of Art. Sam has spoken publicly at 92nd Street Y as well as the NYAA on various subjects regarding contemporary art. He enjoys spending as much of his free time as possible attending international art fairs, museums and visiting artists’ studios. Professionally, he spent over a decade at Goldman Sachs and now works at Shikiar Asset Management, a wealth advisory Firm headquartered in Manhattan.
