Art/Write: Poetry for Civic Dialogue

October 15, 2020 4:30PM to 5:30PM

As we near closer to the American presidential election and current events bring to the fore the role and impact of government,  the Lehigh University Art Galleries (LUAG) and the Lehigh University Libraries invite you to explore the ways in which art can inspire reflections on our civic lives. During this session, we will talk together about ways of looking at art and using our poetic imaginations for expressing what we see and experience as citizens of countries, communities, and the world. Using writing prompts alongside works from the Lehigh Art Galleries' Doing Democracy exhibition, we will explore how a work of art can spark insight, ideas, and action about activism, citizenship, and democracy.
