American artist Anthony Viscardi examines the space between art and architecture through explorations of “shadow mapping,” or by capturing time by tracing shadows as they traverse an architectural construct while being built over one day. Join Anthony and artist and journalist Timothy Higgins, as they delve into the progression of Anthony’s exploration of shadow and void, and his theoretical enquiry, “If an object can cast a shadow, can a shadow cast an object?”
In the Belly of the Architecture: Anthony Viscardi & Tim Higgins is part of the ART IN DIALOGUE series.
ART IN DIALOGUE is a series of interdisciplinary conversations between members of the AAD faculty and colleagues from both the university and the wider community - reflecting the ways in which their work is dynamically engaged with other fields of inquiry.
ALL ART IN DIALOGUE programs will be located in the LUAG Main Gallery, Zoellner Arts Center. All events are free and open to the public.
