Gifts of Art

Many works of art have been donated to LUAG by generous individuals. Donating art to an academic museum is a wonderful opportunity to share your gift with an eager audience of students, faculty, and researchers.

Please complete our Donor Questionnaire, which asks several vital questions about the work(s) of art before we can review your proposed gift.  Please send the completed questionnaire to Mark Wonsidler, Curator of Exhibitions and Collections, at  Feel free to contact Mark by phone at 610-758-4337, or by email, should you have any questions.

Note that proposals for gifts of art must be received no later than October 1 if they are to be processed before the end of the calendar year.  For gifts to be processed and acknowledged for the academic (and fiscal) year, gift proposals must be received by March 1.

Given our ongoing commitment to preserving the collection for future generations, which requires significant support and staff resources, we ask all donors to consider making a cash donation to LUAG that will accompany their gift of art.  We urge donors to consider a cash gift equivalent to 20% of the appraised value of the artwork.

We are unable to provide financial or tax advice to donors.  We recommend that you contact your accountant in advance before proposing a gift to LUAG.

Thank you for your consideration and support.
