LUAG Member Event! Exploring the Art of Blooms: A Still Life and Floral-Arranging Workshop

April 25, 2024 6:00PM to 8:00PM
LUAG Main & Lower Galleries

Featuring Sarah Petryk, owner of Allium Floral Design and Collett Akins ‘27, LUAG Education Intern

Using works of art from LUAG’s permanent collection, this member-only event begins with a “guided looking” activity in LUAG's Lower Gallery with LUAG Education Intern Collett Akins ‘27. Then, using the works of art as inspiration, Allium Floral Design owner Sarah Petryk will share her expertise and guide you through the art of creating floral arrangements.

Whether you're a budding enthusiast or a seasoned flower aficionado, this workshop promises to ignite your creativity and deepen your appreciation for the beauty of floral blooms. All materials will be provided and participants will be able to take their arrangement home!

This workshop is suitable for all skill levels.

This workshop is now full. To be added to the waitlist please email luag@lehigh.edu.

About Sarah Petryk and Allium Floral Design

Sarah Petryk. Sarah Petryk is the Founder and Lead Designer at Allium Floral Designs based in Bethlehem, PA. Her flower journey opens with Sarah as a little girl in her grandmother’s Bethlehem garden, in full “Little House On The Prairie” mode, creating arrangements galore from zinnias, honeysuckle and cosmos. Today, Sarah and her team at Allium design for about 150 weddings and events each year, creating beautiful and sense-engaging experiences for attendees.

Allium Floral Design. Beautiful texture and lush romantic foliage showcase nature’s beauty and thread its way throughout our designs. We create your custom wedding in a private studio nestled on two acres of gardens and woodlands, which serve as inspiration for much of our work. We also offer event styling services to make your wedding feel personal and your design seamless and cohesive.
