Teaching Artist/Museum Educators:
Lehigh University Art Galleries (LUAG) seeks energetic and creative teaching artists and museum educators (who work in a variety of media) to enable us to strengthen and enhance the education programs we offer to adults, children, and community partnerships.
A successful candidate must be personable, supportive of students, knowledgeable of general art history and have the flexibility to provide engaging programs for students with a range of knowledge and skill levels. Experience teaching on a virtual platform is a plus, but not required.
Educators are hired as independent contractors. Dates and times vary.

The Lehigh University Art Galleries is looking for a hardworking and responsible Federal Work-Study student to join their team. The purpose of this role is to assist the Galleries by offering exceptional customer service to guests as well as completing administrative and other tasks as assigned. Candidates do not need to possess extensive background knowledge in art but a love of art is a plus.
Hours: 3-10 per week, flexibility to attend evening events and/or work some Saturdays. Students are required to sign up for one shift per week.
Location: LUAG Main Galleries (inside Zoellner Arts Center)
Level 2 Position ($10.00/hr)

Museum Educator
The Museum Educator works with the LUAG Education and Visitor Services staff to plan, design, and implement education and interpretation programs for the campus and community. Students will have the opportunity to interact with diverse audiences, assist with exhibition-related/curriculum-based art projects for various age groups, collaborate with visiting artists, and more.
Students assist with administrative tasks, help staff to implement a range of programs on weekdays, weekends, and evenings, and create content for virtual programs. Depending on a student’s interests, they may also research and present a gallery talk or other public program. Museum Educators should be friendly, energetic, highly motivated, and creative; and have a positive, enthusiastic attitude towards interacting with learners of all ages.
Hours: 6-8 hours per week, flexibility to attend evening and Saturday events. Students are required to sign up for one shift per week and attend Friday afternoon training 3:30-5 PM.

Level 4 Position ($12.00 per hour)

Museum Collections & Digitization Assistant
The Lehigh University Art Galleries is looking for a hardworking and responsible Federal Work-Study student to join their team. The purpose of this role is to support the LUAG Collections and Exhibitions staff to document, care for, and showcase artwork in the museum’s permanent collections. Students will collaborate with staff to assist with and complete physical or digital projects related to diverse artworks and ongoing department needs. Depending on a student’s interests, they may also collaborate with other student workers to create related social media content or other relevant outreach.
Hours: 10 hours per week
Location: LUAG Collections & Exhibitions Offices, Building J (Mountaintop Campus)
Level 3 Position ($11.00/hr)
