Student-Led Tour: Sensemaking through Himalayan Art - Iconography and Symbolism with Ayushka Dhakal



The Himalayan region currently encompasses parts of present-day India, China, Nepal, Bhutan, and Mongolia. Join museum educator Ayushka Dhakal as she guides you through the process of identifying, analyzing, and understanding the iconography and symbolism of Himalayan art. Additionally, get a chance to explore objects from the Rubin Museum of Himalayan Art travelling exhibit in the LUAG Lower Gallery. The event will be accompanied by a light tasting of Nepali dishes prepared by a local restaurant.
