Amy R. Churgin is enjoying her second chapter as a guide at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Previously, she had an extensive career in media as the Publisher of Traditional Home, Meredith Corporation’s luxury decorating, design and lifestyle brand. In addition to spearheading all advertising and marketing activities, Churgin was responsible for further expanding Traditional Home’s brand extensions across digital, mobile, social, TV and video platforms.
Churgin’s extensive publishing career includes a position most recently as Senior Vice President, Condé Nast Media Group, where she oversaw corporate media sales across the company’s entire portfolio of magazine and digital brands. Prior to joining Condé Nast Media Group, Churgin served as VP/Publisher of Architectural Digest. Churgin extended the brand’s positioning through highly innovative programs, including The Architectural Digest Home Design Show and the AD Greenrooms at The Oscars and The Emmys. She has also held positions as VP/Publisher at Gourmet magazine, and Publisher of New York Magazine, where she developed the first multi-platform broadcast and entertainment extension. Churgin’s additional media experience includes roles as Group Publisher at Primedia. She has also held senior publishing positions with Seventeen, Elle, and European Travel and Life magazines.
During her career, Churgin has been the recipient of numerous professional accolades, including multiple Primedia President’s Awards, and she was named Advertising Age’s list of “30 Under 30 Woman to Watch.”
In addition, Churgin is active in a broad range of educational, community, and arts-related organizations including Lehigh University, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York Historical Society, Manhattan Theatre Club, and Lenox Hill Hospital. She earned a bachelor’s degree and graduated magna cum laude from Lehigh University, and holds a Master of Arts from Hunter College. Amy resides in Manhattan with her family.
