COVID-19 Safety Plan

The health and wellness of our community is our top priority, so when we see you again you can be assured that we are doing everything we can to keep you and our staff safe and healthy.  We are adhering to university and state guidelines and will continue to keep you apprised as measures change. We appreciate your understanding as conditions related to the pandemic continue to evolve.

Mask Policy

To ensure our visitors’ health and security, as well as the safety of our staff, Lehigh University Art Galleries (LUAG), in accordance with Lehigh University policy has implemented the following policy:

Effective August 2, 2021:

Masks are required at all times for all visitors regardless of vaccination status in all indoor spaces at LUAG.

Guests who do not comply with these policies will not be admitted.

Effective March 1, 2022:

Masks inside Lehigh University Art Galleries are optional but strongly encouraged. If you cannot socially distance or are visiting with a class/large group, masks will be required. This is subject to change at any time.

Prior to Your Visit

Visitors who enter LUAG or any Lehigh University building should first complete a COVID-19 self-assessment.  It is a simple series of questions to help you check for symptoms.  This can be done online, on a paper form or via Lehigh's Hawkwatch App

If you or someone in your group doesn’t feel well, has exhibited symptoms of COVID-19 in the previous 14 days, or has been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the previous 14 days, please stay home

What To Expect When You Visit

As we work together to ensure LUAG is  COVID-safe, here are some measures you can expect on your upcoming visit.

Masks are (as of March 1, 2022) optional but strongly encouraged to be worn indoors at all times you are in public spaces and inside the galleries. Please see the CDC’s guide to masks for recommended face coverings.

These rules have been created for the safety of all visitors, students, faculty and staff. Guests will be allowed to enter the galleries without a mask but not if they are exhibiting symptoms of COVID. Visitors who refuse to follow guidelines will be asked to leave the venue.

We have hand sanitizing stations located at the front desk for your use.

Regimented Cleaning

Our public spaces are cleaned regularly.

Air Filtration

There are 12 air handlers throughout the center and they completely exchange the air at a rate of about 12 times an hour.

Our Staff

All Lehigh students, faculty, and staff are required to be fully vaccinated unless they have received a medical or religious exemption.  All university and arts center staff will wear a mask while indoors.

Contact Tracing

If we are notified of a positive COVID diagnosis of an audience member, we will promptly alert the appropriate health authorities for contact tracing.

PLEASE NOTE: The protocols currently in place are subject to change in compliance with revisions to national, local, and university guidelines regarding COVID-19.  Please check the Campus Status Page for more information and updates. Please contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.  While we will provide the most up-to-date public health procedures to improve visitor safety, they are not an absolute protection against contracting COVID-19. Visitors assume their own risk by visiting LUAG.
