LUAG Family Workshop: Creative Drawing For Kids

October 16, 2021 1:00PM to 4:00PM

Build artistic confidence with these fun and engaging drawing activities geared towards kids (but adults will get a kick out of them too)! With big kid illustrator Lauren Beck (Ren & Ink LLC) as your art guide, students will enjoy mini projects to explore characters and cartoony creatures, including doodle prompts and step-by-step drawing instruction. These workshops will be creative, encouraging, and they’ll give kids a chance to stretch their imaginations!

Register in advance.

Lauren Beck, of Ren & Ink LLC,  is a lettering artist and illustrator based in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Working both by hand and digitally, Lauren’s charming letters and imagery can be found in weddings, small businesses, or on a grand scale as a typographic mural. Most recently, Lauren has partnered with Crayola to create a 40-page coloring book full of detailed flower compositions.

With her degree in Art Education, Lauren conducts workshops at Pennsylvania  studios and nonprofits, teaching anywhere from brush and script lettering to digital illustration on the iPad. You can find Lauren’s work at www.renandink.com.

LUAG Family Workshops offer opportunities to explore great works of art from the LUAG collection and current exhibitions through conversation, hands-on projects, and sketching. Geared to children ages 4 to 12 and their adult companions, however, all ages are welcome.
