Picture This: The lived experience of first generation students at Lehigh

November 17, 2022 4:00PM
LUAG Lower Gallery

This photography exhibit will provide a window into what it means to belong on campus as a first generation student. In this project, over 50 first generation students took photographs of people, places, and things that help or hinder their sense of belonging within the Lehigh community. Students took photographs representing a range of themes. This gallery exhibit will feature photographs and reflections from these students as well as ideas on how to foster belonging on campus.

The gallery exhibit is open to the whole community. We invite you to visit the exhibit and reflect on your own experiences of belonging at Lehigh, how your various identities have shaped your experiences of belonging, and learn more about the experiences of first generation students at Lehigh.

Sponsored by the Psychology Department Health Behavior Lab, Student Affairs Research and Assessment, Center for Student Access and Success, and Lehigh University Art Galleries.
