Please join us on Wednesday, June 14th and Friday, July 14th from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for an interactive reading by Dr. LaToya Council, Assistant Professor of Sociology and Africana Studies at Lehigh University. Dr. Council will be reading and leading an interactive discussion of two of her works written with co-authors, IntersectionAllies: We Make Room for All (June 14th) and Love without Bounds: An IntersectionAllies Book about Families (July 14th). LUAG will facilitate an art-making activity after each reading.
Pizza, snacks, and drinks will be provided, and one copy of Dr. Council's book will be provided for the first 25 families who register. While these are books written for children, all are welcome and people of any age can learn new ways to approach complex but important concepts (including intersectionality, family differences, gender, race, and inequality) from this event. We look forward to seeing you and learning with you!
