Fusion class refreshes the logo and creates an exhibition brand identity in collaboration with the Lehigh University Art Galleries

Lehigh University Art Galleries (LUAG) has been making its mark on students and the community since 1926. Twelve Lehigh design students from the Department of Art, Architecture, and Design (AAD) will be a part of the art and part of LUAG's next hundred years with a refreshed logo and exhibition brand for "Here and Now: 100 Years of LUAG, 100 Local Artists," which runs from September 2, 2025 through May 22, 2026.

Students collaborated closely with LUAG’s marketing team, the South Bethlehem community, Lehigh's Office of Communications and Public Affairs, industry practitioners, and faculty to create collateral and promotional materials for the teaching museum.

Brainstorm in Building C
In three teams, design students were tasked with developing an exhibition brand, a logo for the centennial, and a refresh of the existing logo. The students engaged in research, conducted interviews, held focus groups, and created comparative studies to develop a cohesive brand identity that reflected LUAG’s mission and commitment to the community.

First Pitch
Each student presented their initial design to the LUAG team in the art galleries' lower level. Everyone had the chance to discuss the creative brief in more detail and ask questions in person.
