Registration for this program is now closed.

Join us for a three-part workshop series designed for teaching artists and educators who want to bring art and material culture into the classroom. Over three weeks, you’ll explore strategies for engaging students through inquiry-based gallery tours, inclusive lesson planning, hands-on artmaking, and interdisciplinary connections to science, social studies, language arts, and more. The final session will focus on program planning and advocacy for you and your students.

Participants will leave with adaptable frameworks, interdisciplinary activity ideas, and the confidence to create dynamic learning experiences grounded in the museum’s collection.

Session 1: Foundations of Museum Education
Session 2: Building a Lesson Plan from an Essential Question
Session 3: Reflective Practice and Workshop Mini-Lesson Critique

This professional development workshop series is offered free of charge, but space is limited. By registering, you are committing to attend all three sessions in the series. If you are unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible so we may offer your spot to another educator. Educators who complete the series will receive a certificate of completion.

Session dates are: October 22, October 29, and November 5.

Registration for this program is now closed.  Please email info@luag.edu if you are interested in being added to the waitlist for future offerings.
