Over 20,000 works of art from around the world.

Lehigh University Art Galleries (LUAG) was founded in 1926 as the centralized fine art collection of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  The collection currently consists of over 20,000 artworks from diverse time periods and cultures, housed in seven gallery spaces and two art study centers across three campuses, as well as an on-campus collections care and storage facility.

The collection is particularly strong in photography and works on paper, as well as 20th century modern outdoor sculpture, but also includes 19th century European and North American paintings, Chinese ceramics, and sculpture from Oceania, Africa, and Ancient America.

In celebration of LUAG's 100th anniversary, LUAG is proud to present Creativity & Connection: Lehigh University Art Galleries at 100.

Creativity & Connection (Hirmer/University of Chicago Press) highlights 100 diverse works from LUAG’s collection – pairing them with reflective essays by students, faculty, staff, artists, and community members. Illuminating the depth and evolving narrative of LUAG’s permanent collection – now spanning over 20,000 objects – this stunning coffee table-style art book brings to life iconic paintings, prints, photographs, sculptures, and material culture collected by LUAG over the past century.
