LUAG Museum Educator Training

All meetings are held on Friday afternoons from 1:00 - 2:00 PM in the LUAG Lab and Reading Room inside Zoellner Arts Center unless otherwise noted.

Interested in museum education? Whether you're a student, emerging educator, or someone looking to build confidence in public speaking and tour facilitation, this program is for you! This training series offers an opportunity to learn about teaching in a museum setting and connect with LUAG's education team. Themes and lessons vary each week, and all are welcome to attend. Afterwards, join LUAG student museum educators for a short discussion and learning exercise.

September 11 - Introduction and Orientation

Meet with LUAG Museum Educators Thomas Kaspereen and Elsy Tavarez for a quick tour of the LUAG Lower Gallery and meet the rest of the student educator team! Hear from LUAG’s Coordinator of Museum Experience and Access, Elise Schaffer, about programming for Fall 2026, sign up for shifts (students), and explore the museum space. Snacks and coffee provided.
