Light Up LUAG: "Here and Now" Opening Party

You're invited to Light Up LUAG, a free, open-to-the-public kickoff celebration for Lehigh University Art Galleries’ 100th birthday and centennial exhibition, Here & Now: 100 Years of LUAG, 100 Local Artists! Join us to celebrate on Friday, September 19th from 5:30-8:30pm both inside the museum, and in spaces throughout Zoellner Arts Center.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Show up starting at 5:30pm to mingle, view the exhibition, and meet the artists behind the artworks (most of the artists will be in attendance). After welcome remarks at 6:15pm, the energy will turn up! We’ll have the DJ collective Nite Liters spinning vinyl, hands-on artmaking, light bites and drinks indoors, food truck treats outdoors, a caricature artist, photobooth, and more. We're excited to celebrate 100 years of visual art at Lehigh and the exceptional community of artists living and working in the Lehigh Valley — this party will be an unforgettable start to LUAG's yearlong anniversary celebration. We’re expecting an enthusiastic crowd and a great time!
EVENT DETAILS
LUAG is located inside the Zoellner Arts Center at 420 East Packer Avenue. The event will take place both inside the museum and in spaces throughout Zoellner Arts Center.
Free parking will be available on Levels 2-4 of the Zoellner Arts Center garage, directly adjacent to the museum. Accessible parking spaces are located on Levels 1 and 3 of the garage. Note that Level 1 of the garage is metered parking; guests on this Level can pay via the Passport Mobile app or at the kiosk near the elevator doors. More information about parking is available here.
This event is FREE and all are invited. Guests are welcome to show up anytime between 5:30 and 8:30 pm to enjoy the event, but are encouraged to arrive in time for a special welcome and remarks taking place at 6:15 pm.
Dress is come-as-you-are, but don’t hesitate to add a little ‘sparkle’!
Access check-in available upon arrival in the main lobby. ASL interpreters will be available throughout the event. There will be a designated quiet space in LUAG’s Lower Gallery.
