LUAG Community Day: Outdoor Sculpture Creations

May 14, 2022 1:00PM to 2:30PM
LUAG Main Gallery, Zoellner Arts Center

Join LUAG for a hands-on workshop inspired by LUAG's Outdoor Sculpture Collection which includes over 50 sculptures located across Lehigh University's three campuses. View works from artists from all over the world, as they bend, twist and manipulate materials such as steel, stone and wood to create incredible sculptures that make us slow down, look closely and think about their purpose, intention and story. After the tour, participants will create their own sculpture to take home with Teaching Artist Natalie Hartman.

All ages are welcome and no prior experience necessary.  Advanced registration is encouraged but not required.

Register in advance here.

Natalie Hartman is a multi-talented freelance artist from Bethlehem PA. She currently teaches arts & crafts to school age children at the Banana Factory just minutes from her home. She also creates and runs after-school art programs for local elementary schools, middle schools and other organizations. Natalie truly enjoys sharing her time and artistic abilities with children and surprising them with just how capable they are of creating amazing things!

LUAG Community Days offer opportunities to explore great works of art from the LUAG collection and current exhibitions through conversation, hands-on projects, and sketching. Geared to children ages 4 to 94 and their adult companions. Drop-in anytime between 1-4 pm to explore the galleries through self-guided activities.
