LUAG Family Day: "Doing Democracy" Poster Workshop

October 17, 2020 1:00PM to 2:00PM
Zoom

Inspired by the activists and demonstrations depicted in the photographs from Doing Democracy, participants will learn how to create their own activism poster using simple materials from home. We will learn about the influence of letters and typography in historical protest posters, and with guided instruction, we’ll explore how to draw eye-catching lettering to craft the most impactful messages. Our handmade protest posters will boldly define the issues that are important to us, allowing everyone to have the skills to be an activist at any age.

All ages are welcome, projects are geared to children ages 4 to 12. Digital downloadable files for printing letterform guides will be provided, but a print out is not required to participate.

Register in advance and we will send you a suggested supply list and resource materials prior to the workshop.
