LUAG Family Workshop: Nature Journaling

Join local artist and educator Claire Marcus for a hands-on workshop inspired by the changing seasons and the exhibition Thinking Through Drawing. Explore ways to capture natural forms and organic shapes through nature journaling exercises you can use on your next outdoor adventure. Geared to children ages 4 to 12 and their adult companions, however all ages are welcome. All participants will receive a free drawing kit and sketchbook to keep.

Advanced registration is strongly recommended.

Claire Marcus is an award-winning artist who is represented in public and private collections, and has been exhibited in museums in national and international museums. She has been a teaching artist since 1998, conducting school and community residencies for NEA/Art Works, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Mural Arts and the Celtic Cultural Alliance. She has designed interdisciplinary arts curricula for pk-12 grade, undergraduate and postgraduate programs, as well as for older adults.
