Student 5x10: Archive to Art: A Walk Through the Philip and Muriel Berman Collection

September 30, 2021 4:10PM

Would you like to learn more about the art that you see around campus? Much of it was given to Lehigh by Philip and Muriel Berman. Join the Lehigh Libraries and Lehigh University Art Galleries on a walk from Special Collections in Linderman Library to LUAG in Zoellner Art Center. Along the way, you will learn about the artists and artwork included in the collection and why and how the sculptures along Memorial Walk came to Lehigh.

The program will start at the Bayer Galleria (room 342) in Linderman Library, continue along Memorial Way, and conclude in Zoellner Arts Center.

This is a qualifying 5X10 event. The 5x10, which reads as five by ten, is a programming series open to all Lehigh students with a specific focus on first-year students, their connection to Lehigh and introducing them to bLUeprint and the Five Foundations of Student Success. In a typical year, first-year students are expected to attend five programs during the first ten weeks of the semester.
