Student-Led Tour: Gateway to Himalayan Art Mini-Tour

Join LUAG Student Museum Educators, Emily and Y, on a guided tour of the Rubin Museum of Art’s traveling exhibition featuring art from the Himalayan region. We will be discussing topics such as the traditions, historical backgrounds, and meanings surrounding a collection of pieces, covering the regions of present-day China, India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Mongolia. Come witness and learn the Symbols and Meanings, Materials and Technologies, and Living Practices behind a variety of artwork and objects.

Emily Tsao is a Sophomore at Lehigh University majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Marketing and Psychology. She has been a part of the LUAG team since her freshman year. She is also a part of the Eco Reps Leadership Program, Lehigh University Student Scholars Institute, Posse Scholars, and the Student Political Action Club on campus.

Y Lam is a Junior at Lehigh University, who is currently studying Art and Psychology and minoring in Asian studies. She is a part of the LUAG team and the Elementary Education 4+1 Accelerated Master’s Program. In her free time, Y loves reading, sketching, and trying to cook.
