Join us for our latest edition of Taste of Art as we explore the origins and significance of salsa while making connections to identity and culture. Our newest video, featuring Stacie Brennan from LUAG and Maite Gomez-Rejón of ArtBites, also provides instructions for how to create your own collage inspired by the work of Mexican artist, Tatiana Parcero.
Pickup a FREE Taste of Art Kit which includes all of the needed ingredients from the Bethlehem Greenway Farmers’ Market on Friday, June 24th from 3:00-6:00 PM. (Only 50 kits available and will be available on a first come, first serve basis)

Únase a nosotros para nuestra última edición de Taste of Art mientras exploramos los orígenes y el significado de la salsa y hacemos conexiones con la identidad y la cultura. Nuestro video más reciente, con Stacie Brennan de LUAG y Maite Gomez-Rejón de ArtBites, también brinda instrucciones sobre cómo crear su propio arte del collage inspirado en el trabajo de la artista mexicana Tatiana Parcero.

Taste of Art weaves culture and history together by pairing cuisine and recipes from the local SouthSide Bethlehem community with works of art from LUAG’s permanent collection. Through interactive lectures, DIY- at-home tastings, storytelling, and discussion, individuals of all ages and backgrounds will experience the intersection of art, cultural heritage, and cuisine, and as a result, will strengthen their cultural understanding, well-being, and connection to their community. Interactive lectures and cooking demos are offered in partnership with Maite Gomez-Rejon of ArtBites.

Taste of Art entrelaza la cultura y la historia al combinar la cocina y las recetas de la comunidad local de SouthSide Bethlehem con obras de arte de la colección permanente de LUAG. A través de conferencias interactivas, degustaciones de bricolaje en el hogar, narración de cuentos y debates, personas de todas las edades y orígenes experimentarán la intersección del arte, el patrimonio cultural y la cocina. Maite Gomez-Rejón is the founder of ArtBites. She has dedicated her career to exploring the nexus of art and culinary history through lectures, cooking classes, and tastings presented in museums across the country and through videos on her YouTube channel – ArtBites: Cooking Art History. Maite has a BFA from the University of Texas at Austin, an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a Grande Diplome from the French Culinary Institute in New York City. She has been a guest on the Today Show, featured in Food & Wine magazine, and interviewed on KCRW's Good Food and NPR's Splendid Table. She is also a contributor to Life & Thyme, Eaten Magazine, Gastro Obscura, and other publications. Ha dedicado su carrera a explorar el nexo entre el arte y la historia culinaria a través de conferencias, clases de cocina y degustaciones presentadas en museos de todo el país y a través de videos en su canal de YouTube: ArtBites: Cooking Art History. Maite tiene un BFA de la Universidad de Texas en Austin, un MFA de la Escuela del Instituto de Arte de Chicago y un Gran Diplome del Instituto Culinario Francés en la ciudad de Nueva York.
