AAD faculty member and artist Deirdre Murphy discusses her artwork and teaches us how to create our own colorful migration patterns and a step-by-step drawing of a Mountain Hawk with a special guest from Hawk Mountain Sanctuary.
Deirdre Murphy’s artwork is made with the attentiveness of a scientist, observing the natural world beyond the visible surface. Her paintings explore the interconnected qualities of art and science, paying particular attention to the micro and macro patterns that reveal our connectedness. Deirdre's work is currently exhibited as part of the Art, Architecture and Design Faculty Exhibition on view at the Lehigh University Art Galleries.
Artist Talk and Family Workshop with Deirdre Murphy is part of the ART IN DIALOGUE series.
ART IN DIALOGUE is a series of interdisciplinary conversations between members of the AAD faculty and colleagues from both the university and the wider community - reflecting the ways in which their work is dynamically engaged with other fields of inquiry.
