Experience the voice of local musicians, poets, and student performers in the LUAG Listening Room this fall. Presented in conjunction with This Land: Reimagining the United States of America on its 250th Anniversary.

What is the LUAG Listening Room?
Set in its own 394-square-foot space inside the Main Gallery, the LUAG Listening Room provides a multisensory learning environment within the This Land exhibition. The space includes a listening station with vintage vinyl and a record player, a digital playlist that invites community input, interactive screens, creative lyric-writing and art-making stations, and an instrument corner featuring real loaner guitars from C. F. Martin Guitar & Co. – welcoming visitors of all ages and abilities to participate.

What to expect
Check the schedule below for performance start times. Performances will last approximately 45 minutes. Both floor cushions and chairs will be available for participants. Performances will be audible throughout the galleries; you are welcome to explore the galleries while you listen, coming and going as you please.

More about Magnus Mateo

Magnus Mateo (they/he/she) is a genderfluid, neurodivergent poet and performer in Lehigh Valley, PA. In addition to their debut chapbook, She's Jealous of my Purple Sky (AlienBuddha Press), Magnus has been published in various literary magazines and poetry anthologies, including FlowerMouth Press, SOUPCAN Magazine, and Pennsylvania Bards Eastern PA Poetry Review Anthology. He is the main host and event organizer of the IceHouse Literary Arts Committee in Bethlehem and of Noble Quills in Easton, as well as the associate editor of The Poets' Cauldron Anthology series.
