LUAG Community Day: Paper Cut Silhouettes inspired by artist Kara Walker

In this drop-in community workshop, participants will cut paper dolls and arrange the silhouettes to tell a story of their own inspired by the work of artist Kara Walker in the exhibition Young, Gifted and Black.

All ages are welcome and no prior experience necessary. Workshop will be led by Teaching Artist Rebecca Kelly.

LUAG Community Days offer opportunities to explore great works of art from the LUAG collection and current exhibitions through conversation, hands-on projects, and sketching. Geared to children ages 4 to 94 and their adult companions. Drop-in anytime between 1-4 pm to explore the galleries through self-guided activities.
