Art After Dark: Paint-Pal Creative Exchange - Student 5x10 Event

September 24, 2021 7:00PM
LUAG Main Gallery

Join Lehigh University Art Galleries and Lehigh After Dark for a creative and fun artmaking event where all materials will be provided and you will get to leave with a unique work of art created by another artist.

In response to the new environment brought about by COVID-19, the Paint Pal Creative Exchange aims to foster connection between Lehigh students both on and off campus through art making and expression. Participating students will be paired with one another and can share who they are, their interests, and anything else they desire through a creative exchange of art or letter making.

Lehigh University Art Galleries (LUAG) will provide a package for participating students including art supplies, a pamphlet featuring pictures and information about artworks as inspiration, and prompts for students to consider. Local artist and alumnus Rei Ukon '21 will lead participants through some art making techniques and demos using the materials provided to inspire their creativity.

This program is co-sponsored by Lehigh After Dark.

This is a qualifying 5X10 event. The 5x10, which reads as five by ten, is a programming series open to all Lehigh students with a specific focus on first-year students, their connection to Lehigh and introducing them to bLUeprint and the Five Foundations of Student Success. In a typical year, first-year students are expected to attend five programs during the first ten weeks of the semester.
