Ideas set in motion can change the world.  From shifting technologies that bring about the rise and fall of industry, to artists who inspire us to see ordinary things in extraordinary ways, change enters our lives in both dramatic and subtle forms.  But how do immaterial thoughts become concrete realities?  Innovators in many fields show us how.  This exhibition, drawn from LUAG’s extensive collection, highlights multiple forms of cultural changemaking: the circulation of ideas, the evolving forces of labor and industry, advocacy through protest, fame, and of course the role of artists as the often “unacknowledged legislators of the world.”* This exhibition includes interviews with local changemakers in the Lehigh Valley, gathered by Lehigh students, that reveal insights, strategies, and ambitions for positive change in our own community.

Note: The Siegel Gallery portion of the exhibition will close early on 3/14/2025 to accommodate the Art, Architecture and Design Senior Thesis Show.
